Enigma theme/suite

This is going to be the first in series of desktop customization for windows and in this first post I will be talking about a tool called Rainmeter.

Rainmeter is desktop Custamization tool that displays customizable skins, like memory and battery power, RSS feeds and weather forecasts. It also provide functions like launching your favorite apps and stuff like recording notes. It behaves close to gadgets in windows 7.

The theme above is the enigma theme. It is a true beauty. Notice the stylish translucent clock in the middle of the desktop. It just complements everything around it.

Rainmeter is light weight so you don’t have to worry about heavy logging of your computer.

This is an image of my desktop with rainmeter (gadgets to the right) with system data display and calender.

How to Install?

1. Go to Rainmeter.net
2. At the bottom you should see the download section. download and install
3. It will give you a default skin. all you need to do is go to rainmeter and download a skin like enigma here.

4. After You download package double click it to install and a window will pop-up just accept. I will do a more detailed tutorial very soon for those encountering problems.

After Installation

You might realize that after installation the default skin is mixed with the one you just installed. All you have to do is go on the specific element you want to take out and right click on it and select unload skin. That shows that rainmeter gives the option to use any part of a skin or theme to mix with others to create your own style

Is there more

YES! there are allot more themes on the web for you to download at places like deviantart.com and Rainmeter is constantly being updated and new features are added frequently. I will be continuing this post.
